Yeah, UFO had a really hardcore grassroots fanbase and didn't go the commercial route for whatever reason. Black Sabbath didn't get hardly any airplay and the critics shit on them for years, but I hear "Paranoid" and "Iron Man" on classic rock stations, I would love to hear a lot more Sabbath as well, but now we have youtube and other means of accessing music so we don't have to rely on shitty classic rock stations that don't know their rock anymore.

Hi. UFO were never known as a commercial band selling their souls to the industry and right never got airplay much, mind you they did not release many singles, one i remember was 7 inch single young blood with pic sleeve and on blood red vinyl which was a collector item and not that i was particularly interested in the song because it was a bit of a pop song for young girls. Hard UFO was the best. UFO had a good fan base me included as i saw them 7 times i think in UK. I have my own favorites.

That is shocking to me too, some of the one hit wonders that have songs in the regular rotation like Red Rider, Don McLean, and Norman Greenbaum (not putting down the songs), but no UFO. Lights Out peaked at 23 on the U.S. charts and Obsession and Strangers in the Night at 41 and 42. It is a shame. I heard "Only you can rock me" on a classic rock station once, that was it. It's ridiculous.
