I drove 18 wheeler 48 states and Canada back in the 1990's , child support forced me out of work and onto welfare back in 1999 by suspending my DL , all these years later the state still pays my way because once the state /gov forces you out of work they are responsible for raising / supporting your children

I like it!! Never heard this, until just now. Sounds like Ronnie, to me! Does anyone out there, have more info on this?? Year, lineup, etc. The New Riders, do a version of "Truck Drivin' Man," as well as Commander Cody & his LPA. It's a different song though.
