Friday April 12, 2013 Part 1 of 2 A judge has reserved her decision in the extradition hearing for convicted paedophile Bernard McGrath. The Catholic brother faces 252 charges of sex abuse against boys in Australia. All details of the hearing in the Christchurch District Court this morning have been suppressed by Judge Jane Farish. The Australian Government filed for extradition last year when McGrath returned to New Zealand from Sri Lanka.

Monday, June 10, 2013 Today, we remember the important 1996 case of the Busam family who placed their mentally retarded son, Joey, in the care of Catholic brothers via its "Little Brothers of Good Shepherd" religious order at The Good Shepherd Manor facility. Now he is dead of AIDS. The Busams sued the Catholic Church for his death.
