Amazing live performance by The Bee Gees at The Midnight Special show, back in 1975. Their musicianship is out of any question, what an incredible band and arrangements!

Specially dedicated to Robin Gibb in these hard times. Wish you all the best.

Robin Gibb (God rest his soul) - judging from ANY piece of Bee Gees' footage - looks like he had no basic sense of rhythm whatsoever.. and that he needed some sort of headphones in order to sing harmonies.. never seen that with The Everly Brothers, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, etc.. Maurice Gibb clearly doesn't play the Funk bass on this song (which is clearly done with a keyboard)... Some of their songs - like Tragedy, or The Beatles' songs in the Sgt Pepper's film - were just horrendous... I'll never forget Barry Gibb on the infamous Clive Anderson's talk show showing that he takes himself very seriously, that he has no sense of humour and.. he walked out in the middle of the interview! Very professional, lol! And Malcolm McLaren saying that after he heard The Bee Gees on the radio singing in falsetto and sounding like women (as on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack), he was shocked to discover that they were very "hirsute, ugly men", always makes me laugh.. lol! They always changed their style according to the fashion of the moment.. no credibility, no originality, no musical consistency, etc.. even their name was meaningless.. a case of "never so many were fooled by so few" sort of thing, I guess.. but I always kinda liked this song (and some others too).. must be the Bo Diddley-like beat... Barry Gibb clearly had the knack to write catchy Pop tunes, although with no depth... just like.. eerrr.. all disposable Pop tunes... : )Well, anyway, thanks for posting this...

Robin always looks so stiff on stage. He really looks like he needs something to do. Overall though love this song.

Always a song that I preferred better live.  This performance (apart from the dancing) is exceptional. So tight!

Kiddies please note: This was done LIVE. Three part harmonies and all. THIS is what music & musical performance is all about.

Why does BG sing with a deeper voice here than on the record. Any fans out there who know?

Rob's spastic dancing is a wonder to behold, and the beige outfit doesn't help. But, man, when he takes the mic... that brother's got some serious soul.
