I don't why people have to be so fanatic in their opinions about things like this. Clearly, the album this track comes from [Summer in Paradise] isn't the best best thing the Beach Boys ever came out with. It is lacking in creativity and originality but it isn't awful. It's OK, but nothing to write home about. There are some goodish tracks and there are too many pedestrian ones where the rim shots seem to take over. But some people with no preconceptions of BB's music actually love it, because they have no historical BB baggage. My big love of BB's music starts from around Pet Sounds and finishes after Holland but they weren't rubbish before or after that time. Simply less creative, in my opinion, or not to the style that I appreciated the most. But give the guys a break. They were starting to get on a bit by 1992 and they were never going to top their late 60's-70's stuff, some of which was the most beautiful music of the time or any time. And some of that wasn't written by Brian either.

The album was awful. This cut, with Carl, freaking rocks.

This is the best song on the album, in my opinion, but I think the whole album is very good. It has an overall tropical island feel to it which is what I feel the band wanted to accomplish. Most lifelong Beach Boys fans don't like anything that Brian didn't write, dissing the rest of the band as no talents and that isn't true or fair. This album shows that the Boys could still do a beachy vibe in a grown up way and it works.

the first 10 seconds could be sampled as a trap beat. what to do with the rest tho?

LOVED when this album came out. I saw them play most the songs in concert in Syracuse that yr at the Fair and also another concert that yr but aft that, not a lot of these songs were out there. I do own the cassette and now the cd. I LOVE it. also the cover. this has to be my fav song on it, prob because I used to (before that) live in Lahaina now living on Maui, wishing they would re-release this one.

The production ruins an otherwise decent song. That goes for most of this whole album, and Brian's Imagination as well.

I did not know much about this album! I heard a lot of bad things about it, but having heard most of it now I don't understand why its had such a rough ride over the years! I think its a great beach boys album and the guys did a great job!

All the right elements is in this song, especially in the refrain. It wakes up many good feelings. But much of the intellect in the music disappeared when B. Wilson didn't have any effect on the albums of The Beach Boys. Greetings from The Sixteen Hundreds and Nines.

A very underrated album . Some great tracks on this album despite the absence of Brian. This is one of my all time favourite songs. If not my number one . I love the lyrics and music.
