The Alan Parsons Project - Somebody Out There (Cover) video free download

Originally by The Alan Parsons Project.

I performed all the instrumental parts and the vocal, using mainly the Roland Fantom X6 (piano, drums, synth bass, pads, brass, organ), plus the Nordlead 2X synthesizer, and a PRS SE electric guitar. No MIDI file or sheet music involved.

I mixed the project into Sonar 7 Producer Edition. The video was shot by myself as well with a Samsung digital camcorder and edited into Edius Neo 3.

The whole project was produced in August 2011 in the context of a "cover contest" involving 34 competitors. This one didn't make it in the top 5 albeit the hard work it took to figure out and perform all the different parts by myself, and make it sound decent. Yet it was fun to do.

@jherrera1968 Thank you very much! It didn't win the competition but was fun to do... It took some really hard work to re-do all the tracks from scratch, figure out all the chords and notes, and learn the guitar parts (I'm mostly a keyboard player hence some minor flaws in my guitar playing). Glad you like it! ;)

@HawkeyeVC Thanks! Oh well nice to know the similarity with Graham Dye. It's very difficult for me to judge my own voice so it helps to have some comparison from someone else. I have fun singing Phil Collins and Roger Hodgson from Supertramp too (though Hodgson really sings too high for me on certain parts).

Great cover, Jeremy! Very Well done! Listening to you I couldn't help thinking about Graham Dye, you sound a lot like him!!! If you had done Light Of The World or Little Hans I bet I would had a hard time believing it was not the original, lol!
