I later had the pleasure of working for her on one of her appearances on Soul Train promoting her music. I danced and played trombone behind her and her other musicians. Don Cornelius just loved her. Her kindness was so innocent. She asked me if I could sing …so I sang her this song in accapela. 1st time I heard this song was at the HOB in Chi. It was after her concert as they were tearing down the stage. She sat at this little upright in the corner and sang an additional 5 or 6 songs. I have loved this song since then. She was remarkable and I am glad for the experience.
