You cant even compare it to modest mouse, 100% new melody and new chords progression, the only thing alike is the lyrics.THis said, it really give the lyrics credits what Modest mouse seems to have failed in my opinion.

I'd say he changed the song enough that comparison is virtually impossible. I'm not even gonna offer up my opinion on which is better to avoid debate but I respect in a cover when a person adds such a dramatic twist on things and really makes it their own. Props to them both for two totally seperate versions of a totally awesome song. :)

I prefer this version to Modest Mouse's version personally, but since I realise this is a statement of subjectivity I'm not going to claim MM's version is bad on a cosmic, objective scale and all of those who like it are tasteless degenerate morons because I'm not a shithead.
