To me, this song is about not seeing something that's right in front of you. The authors comment I found is listed at the end of paragraph!The song is about how you should stop chasing the dreams you have about your ideal person and be more open and accepting of alternative options. It does kind of sound depressing that you can't be with the one you want. There is just nothing like the music from the 60's - 80's. I love it! I even prefer Vinyl over CD's and/or digital recordings. Sometimes I wish I was born back then, when things were simple, and musicians weren't so caught up in fame and money. I believe real music comes from the soul, not your bank account.
