I know this isn't the meaning of this song; but this song always reminded me of a time in my life when I used to sit in my room and wait for someone I loved who was thousands of miles away to come. Of course it was just fantasy, but for some reason it seemed like this song was expressing me when it said, "i was sitting there waiting in my room for you, you were waiting for me too." I always thought of it as a song of me and that person. It also brings regret in, because I never told them I loved them, and it was eventually too late and he found someone else. I'm with him now, we both love Skillet, always have, and we both love each other, always will.
