It has always bugged me that every mainstream "Song Lyrics" website except Lyricsmode has the lyrics to this song correct (changed recently due to a comment that looked peculiarly close to this one) - especially when someone takes the time to make a video where they themselves had to have typed out the words. "Lampshade turned around into a lightpost" makes no sense. The phrase is actually "lampshade turned a man into a lightpost," which is both easily heard and contextually makes sense - man puts a lampshade on his head and he is a tall lamp...or lightpost. A common stereotype played out in any movie that features a wild party.Now the second one is a bit more ambiguous, as it closely sounds like either - but "cut my hair on a silver cloud" doesn't stand up to as much contextual relevance as "cut my head on a silver cloud." CTE is speaking about receiving physical and emotional pain, not an aesthetic change in style. Listening to a live, studio performance makes this catch much clearer as you don't have the distracting background noises.TheBren, you have great taste is music. I don't want to put you down for making a video on an excellent song and even greater band; however, if you're going to make a music video based *entirely* on lyrics, you should make sure all of the words are accurate.
