Dvlaries, you posted a year ago, "And all the men I've met since then........were seconds" I agree, that's really deep. However, THIS is even deeper....She ACTUALLY sings, "And all the men I've met since then......were SECOND" Now that is Lyrical Intensity that rises above the finite and frailty of human emotion.....were Beauty and Tragedy almost fuse!!!!

Gladys Knight & The Pips also do another Bacharach song (although he did not produce or arrange it, like this song), "One Less Bell To Answer".

Qué es ese comentario en medio de una canción tan especial para personas especiales a los 2:18 o algo así, no suena bonito pero quisiera saber de qué se trata....

Wow. Can't believe I never heard this before. Gladys & Burt - what a combination, what a song, what a voice. Intelligent music for adults - they don't make em like this anymore.

"And all the men I've met since then ... were seconds... doo doo doo, doo doo doo" Oh Jesus, this song was the bomb in 1975, the only mating of Knight and Burt Bacharach, and what a fantastic and memorable result. For some accountable reason, Buddah chose not to try it as a single, but if you bought the "I Feel A Song" it justified whatever price all by itself.

Thanks for posting this great song...but, what's that strange sound at 2:19?
