There is something about "old school" music that is just so much better than anything going today. This is the common chat from those pretentious assholes who sit and judge you for listening to lady gaga etc but it is true . saying that i love some of the top40 crap ( the cheesier the better for me !!) . There is no music , bar that of the 50's and 60's, which i can put on in any mood and instantly feel happy - Usually this happiness spills over into public dancing , or smiling like the cheshire cat at random strangers in the street ,but oh well. Due to coursework demands i have been stuck inside for the last two weeks . This can go two ways ; 1) cabin fever , where i start building forts and talking to myself over bowls and bowls of pesto pasta ( i am ashamed at how amazing this option is ); or 2) spend as much time flicking from ella fitzgerald to old black adder episiodes to super hero films ( Iron Man 3 i urge you to watch it !!) . Finally tomorrow i am allowed out on good behaviour ( essay finished) so i will hopefully have some more interesting things to say but for now get on an old jumper , carb load and watch old films ( The Lady Vanishes is brilliant) ! x

To Noa's question from a year ago, the lyrics are, "Somebody smeared THE lipstick on your face; aw, they smeared it every place." (not "their lipstick") It was HER lipstick that he's worried must have gotten smeared by her having kissed some other man. This went to #31 for Sam in 1961. His next record, Cupid, did better, hitting #17. BTW, Dancing with Stars used a cover of this song tonight. RIP, Sam.
