The lyrics are clever and the melody is catchy. Sexsmith has taken a pessimistic observation and put a humorous spin on it. If that's not good enough for you, perhaps you'd be better off listening to the over-produced pablum that sells millions of copies.

And The Beatles never derived from others (and badly), I cite their Little Richard attempts! Damn Carravagio, you plagerist, Pininferina, indeed human kind, now as for the song damn good, thanks for the incomplete lesson Pat!

Definitely could have been a Beatle? Put the pipe down son...he's good, but not nearly that good, I'm afraid. The Beatles would never have purloined the "doodoodoo's" right from Lou Reed's song, now would they? It is a good song, though.

I love this fucking song. I was reborn. The early part makes you feel like a cricket, then suddenly you are like something with a huge heart and wide wings. Like a megahawk. That is what I become.

Ron sexsmith is my favorite artist ever because it feels like i can really relate to him, his songs have an honest sound to them and his albums aren't filler with a hit single at the centre maybe hes not selling so well but he has the kind of respect that more succesful artists can only ever dream of. Its not like hes unnoticed either with praise from the likes of: Paul Mcartney, Elton John, Elvis Costello, Chris Martin from Coldplay and those are just the ones off the top of my head.

I had the opportunity to be in this video. I am the Goth dude with my girlfriend. Ron wanted goths in the video because his daughter was goth and it was something that related to the video, and it was niceto have his daughters influence.
