I think Rakim did not mind since he paid for the rights to use his lyrics. It really wasn't a freebie or some giveway, man. Besides, this was a very good version of Rakim's lyrics twisted in Robin Thicke's style. Rap is rap and I love me some Rakim, too. There really should be no comparison. Hot track, Robin-do ur thing!
