Album:Holy Roller

Lyrics:

I hear the train a comin'

It's rollin' 'round the bend,

And I ain't seen the sunshine,

Since, I don't know when,

I'm stuck in Folsom Prison,

And time keeps draggin' on,

But that train keeps a-rollin',

On down to San Antone.

When I was just a baby,

My Mama told me, "Son,

Always be a good boy,

Don't ever play with guns,"

But I shot a man in Reno,

Just to watch him die,

When I hear that whistle blowin',

I hang my head and cry.

I bet there's rich folks eatin',

In a fancy dining car,

They're probably drinkin' coffee,

And smokin' big cigars,

But I know I had it comin',

I know I can't be free,

But those people keep a-movin',

And that's what tortures me.

Well, if they freed me from this prison,

If that railroad train was mine,

I bet I'd move out over a little,

Farther down the line,

Far from Folsom Prison,

That's where I want to stay,

And I'd let that lonesome whistle,

Blow my Blues away.

The clubs exists, man. You just haven't made it to our table, yet. And the music is just as you thought it would be....Your reward awaits. ;)

I like to lie to myself and pretend I'm part of an elite club that has exclusively excellent music as an exclusive reward, and the people who didn't make it in are stuck with the trash

I don't think they were trying to "top" him just pay tribute and they did a heck of a job of it. This cover far from sucks.

I saw the Rev plenty o times. He was always t one w/ t idiotic grin. He'd stand @ t edge o t stage w/ this silly grin looking @ all us kids moshing. U could see (& feel) how much he enjoyed not just playing but working us N2 a frenzy. I never saw some o that evil bullshit that sometimes occurred in other pits @ a Rev show. Loved his tent revival shows!

I almost exclusively listen to underground electronic music, the pushier half of it. But the Rev is a thin line of chemical streak for me.
