I seem to remember a Blood, Sweat and Tears version of this.

I only know of this song because it's what plays at the end of "Mr. Monk and the Naked Man" as Monk gets a hug of gratefulness from nudist Chance Singer then proceeds to walk fully clothed into the Pacific Ocean.

This entire album is utterly brilliant, but it's "Marie" that really gets to me every time I hear it, brings a tear to my eyes! :')

Here's a quaint little song by Randy Newman, from his "Good Old Boys" album. That album has some other songs you should listen to, including "Birmingham" and the way-out-there (and probably offensive to some) "Rednecks". Anyway, here's Randy....Randy Newman - "Naked Man"

One of my favorite Randy Newman songs. Greatest album. What a great bass line. Doin' the best we could - That's all we can do. Saw Randy Newman in concert and it was the most enjoyable night of music ever.

Im a serious Randy fan ,Ive all his albums, seen him 4 or 5 times Im going to see him in August Ive even got his Autograph and Im not trolling when I ask this but is he saying the " N WORD " (you know the one I mean) in the chorus ? Ive checked the lyrics and its says it says Naked but Im not so sure when I listen closely with ear phones, Ive wondered this for years so if somebody could help me with this Id be eternally grateful and I hope I haven't come across as a racist :-)
