"Rachel's song", composed by Vangelis for the Ridley Scott directed film Blade Runner.

The song features on the soundtrack album however was never used in the Film.

It can be guessed that the song was going to be used to score Rachel's growing doubts

about her identity. The track "Memories of Green," was instead used.

The vocals are sung by Mary Hopkin.

The Future Sound of London sampled the vocals for their 1996 single "My Kingdom".

I have edited a few scenes from the film to show what it might of sounded like if used in the film.

I hope you enjoy it!

I pulled this out on CD at 3:30 Am this morning and sat with the angels. What a score, what a film.

I use to put Blade Runner on sometimes before bed becasue the Vangelis soundtrack relaxed me. Even though other things are going on, this soundtrack makes the movie feel very calming at times and creates a rich atmosphere. I wish this track was in the film. Oh well.

I honestly do think a sequel or prequel will be a disaster ! - bladerunner is a master piece - A second movie - (Obviously I think a money making project) - will not have the depth or feeling that are evident on the multi levels of this thought provoking movie - it will do nothing but damage the stature or credibility Blade runner has attained over the years - I immediately loved it from the begining - as a 21 year old I got what Ridly Scott was interpreting from PK Dicks Novel - his visuals & Vangelis' s soundtrack make a Movie that comes around once in a life time & that cannot be repeated or emulated again !"Time to go! Sean young - perfect for the role of rachel ! - Beautiful ! - I was given the original version of BLADERUNNER for my birthday (23) - from my mom & dad I immediately fell in love with Rachel - I like all the versions but my fav is the talkover ?

This is dreamlike song, and it somehow brings me feelings from deep childhood.I think of it as of the best track from OST. And I'm even glad that it wasn't used in film.

It's an awesome track, it's a shame they didn't use it as it feels right for Rachel's development
