This is my favourite Rachel Sweet recording. Released on the 1981 album, "And Then He Kissed Me", and also as a single in the Netherlands. I think this should have been the first single released from the album everywhere. Could have been an anthem of the '80's! Written by Rachel Sweet. B-side is "Fool's Story".

just an amazing song and performance. A shame that a song like this never made it. Somebody should redo this but nobody is going to give it justice like Racheal

@corp2jonesa I don't know if you have a 'Big Lots' store where you live, But the one where live have a record player that you hook up to the USB port of your computer where you can record any records to make them in an MP3 format. It cost about $60 for it.

@VirginSuicide77--Thank you for taking the time to pass along the lyrics to this great song. Now I'll enjoy it even more.

@protoville Don't let him touch your world, baby, You're a party girl Don't let him touch your world, baby You're a party girl Little girl, look in the mirror, tell me what do you see Little girl, where are the heroes you wanted to be With all of your visions in white There ain't no magic night when it all comes true Oo-oo-oo (chorus repeats)

@protoville Little girl, where do you keep those rhinestone eyes Little girl, where do you hide those paper smiles, in some secret file You keep your heart locked tight But every night you let a stranger into your room Oo-oo-oo-oo Cause you wanna be a Party girl, a party girl tonight You say you're gonna be a Party girl, a party girl tonight Don't let him touch your heart Don't let him touch your soul Don't let him know you save it all for rock 'n' roll

This is such a great-sounding song but I can't make out all of the lyrics. Those that I can understand make me want to hear the rest. Does anyone know all the lyrics?

That picture of Rachel on the album cover: she looks adorable! What a great face. I like the contrast between the white lace and the red spaghetti strap.

I have the CD which pairs Then He Kissed Me with Blame It On Love and it sounds great to me. I think some people just don't like CDs. Well, that's my opinon anyway.

Where was this released as a single? My cassette of this album won't play anymore and my vinyl LP is a little worn. Anyone know how the sound of the cd is? Amazon users said it was bad :(
