This is very good, but my favorite cover was sung by Laurel Masse for the Manhatten Transfer TV show back in 1975. She dealt with the difficult changes superbly.

Really astounding. Unlike Lady Gaga (whose version I still respect), she gets every single note absolutely perfect - which in a difficult song like this, is a stellar achievement. Latifah reminds me in some ways of Ella Fitzgerald, with an occasional hint of Doris Day.

Latifah has such a sweet voice and this is such a gorgeous arrangement of this incredibly difficult and sophisticated song. This rendition as well as Gaga's rendition are my absolute favorites of all of them, including Ella, Nancy Wilson, Rickie Lee, Donna and Linda. I've never heard it belted the way Gaga does it, but she pulls it off somehow. That PBS performance with Tony Bennett knocked my sox off! But again, Billy Strayhorn probably intended it to be sung like Latifah sings it, and that counts for something.

I have never understood why this woman has not been celebrated so much more then she is. I love how she can cover any arrangement put in front of her. So damn talented and so damn beautiful.

Nice version, but I prefer that of Natalie Cole, the best in my opinion.

Better! The tone of anger and resignation is wonderfully captured here. "Oh yes I was wrong... is rendered perfectly. So is "a week in Paris will ease the bite of…"

We should give these artist respect, we will all have our interpretation - as long as they can bring it - its ok. I would to pay to hear them all. I have seen some of the best Nancy Wilson singing Don't ask my neighbor (Emotions) Natalie Cole did Micheal Franks song Tell Me All About It- She did the Jazz version which was great- but she did a remix. House version which was on of the best dance ever made. So don't judge. If we remake or try to copy remember flatery is the best of the best. We don't copy if we don't like.

What is really amazing is, Billy wrote the lyric when he was only 17 years old. How worldwise at such an early age!
