There was a clip from 3 girls and their buddy that aired on PBS with her doing this with Buddy Miller that was even better, believe it or not than this , he played amazing lines on an electric mandolin so subtle it made the hair on your neck stand up. it's no longer posted for some reason but it was awesome. She wrote this song according to her from a dream she had. Great performer all around..

Goddamn she is quite possibly one of the best female guitar players I have ever seen by a long shot. Most men don't even have strumming dynamics like that, let alone so much charisma and straight up beauty.

I think what I love the most about Shawn Colvin is the way she makes it look all so effortless. Not one guitar string is plucked by accident, not one note is out when she sings. Its a joy to watch a person who is a master at what they do. Her voice acheives something very rare in that it is desireable to everyone. Some good vocalists have a voice that you have to aquire a taste for. I cant imagine anyone saying that they dont like Shawns voice. The toneality of it is too desireable

I think that is the best live performance of this song I have seen on YouTube. Great vocals, sound and delivery. I get the feeling singing this song isn't something she derives great pleasure from. It is a most beautiful song though.
