fact, pearl jam has not been successful since Dave was fired. Matt is good but boring. He just fakes it through the old stuff and it lost all of the power. He isn't playing the important roll on the snare in this song and it sucks

Man this is by far one of my favorite PJ songs, but the drumming doesn't do anything for me at all. I listened to tremor christ live from the Orpheum Boston 94 and it's a night and day difference. Dave pounds on the drums and you can feel the song sooo much more as intended.

Matt is clearly the more talented musician and drummer. However, Matt's choices are "too much" sometimes. Too much flash and not enough taste. Matt made tasteful choices on Binaural, but everything else has been too technical. He also plays way too fast (which could be a product of the band, but the drummer drives the bus). Dave's work on VS and Vitalogy is breathtaking.

Just saw your reply now. Better late than ever. So I'm fucking ignorant? You know nothing about you're talking about. Nothing. They refused to use TicketMaster but before that, they did play in large venues. Matt is way better than Dave A, like 10x.

The drum fill by Matt at 3:25 is amazing. If you think Dave is a better drummer than Matt, you are totally wrong and know nothing about music. How long ago was Dave in the band? Get over it, Matt is one of the most respected drummers in the world, he is truly genius at what he does..........Dave is a great drummer but just not anywhere near Matts skills. FACT, not opinion. A lot of PJ listeners are too critical (and dont even play an instrument), just enjoy the music.

Wow how ignorant..they didn't play big venues with Dave because they refused to use Ticket Master..I'm sure u know nothing about it..whatevs. Dave A is one of the greatest drummers in rock history period. Matt was great with Soungarden, now this shit is Las Vegas revue lol.

The dude is more important than Dave or Jack ever was. With Matt, they can very large concerts and that isn't very easy to do. Afterall, Matt is a monster of the drums.
