It is so unfair, everyone here in bands in Seattle, way back in the 1980's, thought they could never make it unless they went to Hollywood or some place. I don't know what brought the record companies up here unless someone had family or was visiting here and heard about the punk parties and clubs. A lot of them turned to drugs. I wish Andy could have really made it. He really *felt like Seattle. So glad he had Xana.

I watched PJ20 last night and have been listening to a lot of Pearl Jam today. I found this.I think that Pearl Jam is probably one of the best bands of the last 20+ years.Great stuff...really takes me back to my teenage years. Perfect timing for all of those bands to hit the scene - at the same time as the larger "alternative" movement was growing.That Pearl Jam survived without the band imploding or someone OD'ing or committing suicide (I'm looking at you Kurt and Layne) is a testament to their strength as a band. Their performance of this song is a big deal - fans will know why...
