Army Reserve - LyricsHow long must she standBefore the ground, it gives wayTo an endless fallShe can feel thisWar on her faceStars on her pillowFolding in darknessBegging for slumberI'm not blindI can see it comingLooks like lightningIn my child's eyeI'm not franticI can feel it comingViolently shakesMy bodyHer son's slantedAlways giving herThe sideways eyeAn empty chair where dad sitsHow loud can silence get?And mom, she reassuresTo contain himBut it's becoming a lieShe tells herselfAnd everyone elseFather is riskingHis life for our freedomsI'm not blindI can see it comingLooks like lightningIn my childs eyeI'm not franticI can feel it comingDarling you'll save meIf you save yourself

Are you being serious? The song is Hard Sun not Hard Son, and it's a cover.

Very disturbing trend from old man vedder . Enough with the pedophiles "Eddie"

The convicted child murderer wrote like one line . What is edd vedder s thing with child abuse & abusers ? Micheal Jackson.... Pete Townsend ... The WM3 ... The song Hard Son (very distasteful )

Damien Echols (WM3) holds credit for the lyrics in this song!

It seems like it's a calling to those serving in the army, and the family being the ones in the background like a reserve and how it affects them in waiting. Pretty clear meaning to me.

Unfortunately we have different views on being "free". An Alford plea is not being free, they deserve to be labelled as innocent and should get some compensation for the portion of their lives they missed due to being wrongly jailed. Only then will they be completely free.
