My blood line is in Eastern Kentucky. I love this beautiful Kentucky music. It seems like a mixture of mountain and bluegrass to me. My dad suffered from black lung and lost his battle at a young age. Thank you Patty for the truth and honesty in your sweet music.

Beautiful. Never would have heard this song if not for Justified. About as far from a Kentucky gal as it gets, being from Atlantic Canada, but definitely love bluegrass. Patty nails it. :)

Patty is from the south end of Louisville. But she is loved throughout the metro Louisville area. Hunter S. Thompson, Muhammad Ali, Jennifer Lawrence, Diane Sawyer and Patty are some of the most famous people from Louisville.

It's not Bluegrass. It's Mountain Music. And honest...Bluegrass is a specific type of music Bill Monroe created. It has pretty specific elements for a music genre and that's his doing. Mountain music been around a lot longer than either.

Patty is of course awesome but this song was actually written by Darrell Scott. A great Country music songwriter/singer/instrumentalist.

Can't seem to get this version out of my mind, earworm for real...She sings beautifully, the band does a great job of accompaniment. Like a combination cry & a lullaby.Personally I think that TV show does a great disservice to Appalachian culture making everyone look like Deliverance-dwelling mutants (good acting aside), and it's a running advert for exactly why guns need to be strictly controlled across the USA. But this great performance transcends all that. Exploitation of Coal has been an environmental & humanitarian disaster.

One of the most beautiful, saddest songs I have ever heard and one of my favorite singers. Love this version.

Beautiful melody and lyrics. I like most anything in a minor key. Must have something to do with my Greek ancestry.I don't care for Country music, especially today's Country music, but Bluegrass is another story altogether.
