"Making the Band" was an ABC/MTV reality television series created by Lou Pearlman, the man responsible for the formation of the Backstreet Boys and the early management of *NSYNC. It started on March 25, 2000 on ABC. Pearlman embarked on a nationwide talent search, cutting auditions in eight cities down to 25 young men, and eventually eight finalists. These eight young men would, as the premise for a new ABC reality show, compete for five spots in Pearlman's newest boy band creation named "O-Town", to be signed to his record label, Transcontinental Records. The five guys who became O-Town were: Ashley Parker Angel, Jacob Underwood, Dan Miller, Erik-Michael Estrada and Trevor Penick.

Dan is great, but Ikaika made that song work. If you listen to both versions, there is no comparison to the one with Ikaika. His voice is amazing!!!!!!

@CubicalGirl Her name was Shelly, and they broke up before "There and Back: Ashley Parker Angel". Ashley's fianceé later was Tiffany Lynn. They had their son Lyric together, but they're not together anymore.

honestly....Although Dan is awesome the band sounded better with Ikaika in the song Baby I would...too bad he just wasn't 100% into the band, cuz of that Dan really was the better match...I wonder whatever happened to the chick Ashly was dating...when he had his own show I thought that girl he got pregnant was her
