I did see an Eric Burdon video here that was a protest song.... Ringo and Yoko are still sending out a peace message too. As John Lennon said on his last interview, "Where there's life, there's hope".

That is why he recorded the Living With War album. He said in interviews he was waiting for some new artists to write protest music but none did so he had to.

In 1969 this Man changed my life and whole way of thinking. Don't get me wrong God is #1, but God gave Neil the gift and he has blessed him as Neil has blessed others.

As I've never heard a live version of this tune, Neil changed the lyric "I went looking for Gaddafi..." to "looking for Bin Laden". Looking back, it seems that only a handful of big artists (mostly from the 60-70's) had written songs in protest of the whole Iraq/Bush War. Morrissey, Dixie Chicks (who I never listened to anyway) and who else? The rest of 'em just went along with their record company execs and kept on dancing.
