Thankfully I rarely feel the need to inhale music, as my esophagus probably wouldn't fit a CD or MP3 player.

@infiltrat3 then you haven't heard much black metal. They're a solid melodic black metal band, but there's so much other stuff in black metal.

@infiltrat3 then you haven;t heard much black metal. This album isn't that bad, but there's plenty of stuff out there like it, and it lacks the raw aggression of bands like Dodsengel, and the subtle yet effective atmosphere of say..burzum

Whenever I feel like my head is going to explode I come back to this song and feel an intense tranquility. Thank you Naglfar.

@naglfar95 God damn right. One of the best BM songs ever. The riff at 3:05 pretty much kicks any ass around. And it gets better from here. Check out Abigor, unleashed axe age (nice title) and revealed secrets of the whispering moon (scandinavian morons can't write a title that makes sense, like the japanese). And 1000 miles from vanessa carlton also kicks ass, but sounds different.

This album is what ignited my burning passion for black metal. From start to finish, the epic shredding of the guitars coupled with the brutality of the unrelenting drums, and the demonic shreiking of the vocals, kept that chill running up and down my spine. That euphoric feeling you get when you know what your hearing is nothing short of a masterpiece has managed to appear every single time I play this album, even four years later. If you only buy one black metal album, make it Vittra!

Amazing song but enough about who the best black metal band is and fighting like little bitches, thats not metal at all. The simple truth is that this is an amazing song by an amazing band. End.

One of the 4 best melodic black metal albums ever released. Sacramentum - Far Away From the Sun, Vinterland - Welcome my Last Chapter, Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane, and Naglfar - Vittra. Why this album is usually overlooked is beyond me.
