The song is literally based off of the play The Crucible. Most, if not all the lyrics are taken from the playwright or slightly modified. This song,is not specifically against religion or any matter,this song is literally from a play wright called "the crucible" It is about a town called salem,and a girl named Abigail cried witch upon everyone because of her lust for one man who was married,and even john died and in the play he state" i say god is dead" because everyone in town was getting hanged for not confessing that they were witches,even though they weren't.
