It makes me cry that these guys don't do any of the Formulas material besides Bil Ur Sag anymore.... this was the absolute height of Morbid Angel. Psychedelic brutality of the squiggliest kind.

I wonder the same thing! Flo Mounier is a highly praised drummer and he was releasing albums with Cryptopsy by this album came and what Pete was doing on this album was beyond his skills at the time. Granted they're two different drummers with two different styles, but still. Covenant of Death has some fast as fuck blasting.

Pete's drumming on this album must've blown people away when this record in particular came out. Even with guys like Derek Roddy, George Kollias, Dave Suzuki, etc around now, I listen to this and am still like... damn.

Tucker needs to come back. He was a beast in Morbid Angel far more aggressive than the new David Vincent.

Heretic has a few really good songs, but i dislike the production, it sounds so thin...

Not only was he a better vocalist than David Vincent but also a better bass player I think.
