http://www.encycmet.com/songs/srktulu.shtml --- The idea of the song "The Call Of Ktulu" is based upon H.P. Lovecraft's sole book "The Shadow over Innsmouth" which was first introduced to the rest of the band by Cliff Burton. The spark of beeing fascinated by the book began quickly spreading over the rest of the band. The song's name was taken from one of H.P. Lovecraft's main story featuring Cthulhu "The Call of Cthulhu" which has been written in 1928 for the magazine "Weird Tales". The name "Ktulu" is originally written "Cthulhu" by H.P. Lovecraft.

"That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die."

- H.P. Lovecraft

"Not dead which eternal lie stranger eons death may die"

- Metallica (The Thing That Should Not Be)

When I look at the number of views on this performance, the No leaf Clover, and To Live is To Die (v2), all from the same ~9 years ago, there is only one conclusion worth coming to: the number of views reached the maximum google's data type could handle and restarted. In addition, although this and To Live is To Die are more difficult, and almost as perfect if not as, No leaf Clover is the first performance I have come across, of difficult and well arranged modern music arranged for piano, that I feel comfortable saying is rhythmically and technically flawless. Also, I think these pieces as a group illustrate how there are still great composers around today--what's changed is that we treat them as a dime a dozen perhaps because there are so many of them. Anyone ever see Metallica themselves comment here? I guess they wouldn't hazard such engagement with youtube and the culture that has destroyed the album format.

Almost makes you think she wrote the song and Metallica covered it, sounds so natural on piano.

I think it's safe to say this is harder to play on guitar

Beautiful. You have made this song into a haunting classical piece. My only suggestion would be to start off in a lower bass key, and to slow it down. Otherwise, brilliant job!
