This artist would see Eugene, Oregon in such a light. I would see another one close to me in which so many songs have been written about and so many things really good and really bad have been a part of it's history. That city to be would be Birmingham. Little Richard, Randy Newman, Amanda Marshall and Tracy Lawrence have "painted" it in their color. As cold as Saskatchewan is especially in the winter and early spring seeing it in "black-and-white" even gives me a little chill even in late-winter 57 degree night air in Alabama. First heard this song on the P.A. in a Belk's Dep. Store in my hometown in 2011 and it has stayed with me through many tennis journeys. And who knows one of those might be to Canada some day.

I love this! The shaky camera thing did make it feel like an old film reel movie...awesome job with that :)

To me this song is about how we see thru the prism of black and white, the natural eye. The world is on shaky ground and our feet are easily moved. I am on the rock of my salvation so I may be shaken, but I can't be moved. There is a desire deep down in us all that is good. A seed planted at the beginning of time. If that seed grows it will blossom into the world of color where real love awaits!

I was thinking of this song when I was walking along Lake Superior in Duluth at night...it was fitting, because at the night the city is almost a greyscale image with yellow lights. Thought it was cool.

Great job! and it did kind of give it the cinematic effect but just remember too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. A still shot can be just as powerful as one that is shaking ya know

Shaking was a bad idea, in my opinion...kind of wondering what the idea behind it was, what was the intention?

The day he left, I hugged him and couldn't let go. Once he let go . . . I said, "I get to see you soon, promise?" He said, "I promise." I hugged him one more time and let him go. I stood there watching him walk away. I silently cried as I watched him drive away.. I was in love with this boy, and he had no clue. This song brings me back to that moment. I wish he would have stayed. It was him that opened my eyes. But now he's gone, he committed suicide 2/2/11. RIP Dray. I love you.
