God I miss those days when I was tuned into the 50,000 Watt Clear Channel signal of WSM-650 as it bounced off the either to be picked up on my 1938 Zenith Console tube radio in Chicago. There was nothing better than listening to the Grand ole Opry on a Saturday night and Marty Robbins voice was filling the room as if it was magical. All the lights dimmed, with the glow of that big dial as all 15 tubes were aglow inside that majestic wonder, when real radios were king. And Country Music was Real. God Bless you Marty, Hope you are looking down from Heaven and know your fans are still enjoying what you left behind. You will forever live in the hearts of millions.
