I sooo wanna reply personally to a certain individual whom has the audacity to "title" himself Jacksonville, Fla Free Bird ..?... However, that would only take from Listenin time. Actually began a "Spam/Abuse" report but, realizing this has gotta be someone with problems, prayed for our world instead. Back OFF Buddy! Happy Harmony, ZantFan55

Lyrically this is cliched garbage. Musically, there isn't much to it. It is very basic. Vocally Johnny sounds like anyone else, maybe Hank III? You folks who don't care that everyone but Gary is either DEAD or out of the band are IDIOTS. Sorry, but Skynyrd died with the people who created the original music. So the band died a slow death. The Southern Poet of this band died in 1977. A huge part of the soul of this band died in 1990. Every album by "who are these guys" just drives another nail in the band's coffin, into what was a great legacy. A song like this is for a teenager but not for most adults, or anyone who listens to a lot of music. This is a song for the Skynyrd fan who doesn't own the original band cds, for that person who hasn't listened to original songs. This song should be taken "out of context", "out in left field", and it is best listened to on your Mp3 player or your ipod. That is because this music isn't fit to stand beside the music that Ronnie, Allen, Steve, Ed, Gary, put together. It isn't fit, and it doesn't fit into where Ronnie was going with the band. If Ronnie had lived to put out an album of music like this, say in 1978, Lynyrd Skynyrd would have been dumped by MCA Records. Sometime in 1976 or 1977 Ronnie fired Tom Dowd because he knew his band should sound better, that his career was in jeopardy. Now, any limp dick piece of shit album will do. Any person who can play can get into the band. Nothing else matters "Just don't let the band end." Lynyrd Skynyrd had a time and place. People can still visit a piece of that place in the band's original music. I even recommend the Tribute Tour cd and the tour was very respectful to Ronnie, Steve, Cassie, Allen. Johnny wouldn't sing Freebird. But now, Johnny will do anything, be part of anything, he'll say anything, the band will employ most anyone as a replacement. The only thing now that matters is that Johnny continues to keep the checks coming in. And lets face it, Rickey Medlocke REALLY NEEDS THIS GIG. He doesn't make that much off of Blackfoot, and that band can't bring in the fans the way Skynyrd can.
