George Lynch is everyone reason why you should avoide the "theory trap". This guy kicks ass! For the last 20 years, he's been one of my favorite guitarists. Largely because of him, I always tell my students to get the dexterity in your fretboard fingers and your picking to a point where it feels good, and use your ears, then worry about the theory. "Theory" has probably ruined a lot of good guitar players. Just play a bunch of passing tones. Who gives a shit? George Lynch is just plain awesome
