It's pretty stupid but funny at the same time, how some people commenting are talking shit about the music, and saying shit like "dsbm is not black metal" "this music is made by weak people, and made for weak people""Black metal has to be this specific way, and this specific way only!!""This should be called something like Emo Black Metal""Real or true Black metal is about strength and power and evil and hatred. It shouldn't be about misanthropy, melancholy, sadness, depression, self mutilation, self destruction, and weakness, and alcoholism."Honestly those people need to shut the fuck up already.No one is forcing you to listen to the music, so then why are you still wasting time commenting and listening to the music?Plus black metal is still music and I'm pretty sure music is mainly about self expression.Whether it's depressive lyrics and album artwork or if it's melancholic riffs, as long as the vocals and or still keep the black metal style in some way then it'll still be considered black metal.It'll just be black metal music but the band would have made it into their own way.There's many ways to do things, there's not just only one way, just as long as you keep the same idea/concept then it'll be that genre.There's blackened death metal, black thrash, symphonic black metal, melodic black metal, depressive black metal, national socialist black metal.....Etc.So you can't say one genre or black metal can only be this way and this way only.Well you can go ahead and say that, but you'll just sound like a close minded douchebag hahaha xDPlus in my opinion, when someone starts a band and they're figuring out the genre they wanna play, it's good to pick a main genre influence, so like black metal, but also incorporate some aspects from other genres, lifelover and psychonaut 4, theyre drum beats to me sound like a pop style drumming.So it's good to pick a genre to focus more on like "black metal" but also to try to get some aspects from other genres, because if every single black metal band just made music by them just copying their idols, then they're gonna be another typical black metal band.When making music when you start a band to actually get creative with it, not just plain and simple.
