I disagree -- the bass player honored the basic line that Bernard laid down and added fills to keep the energy up. They obviously expected him to be front and center during the bridge, and he adjusted his amp to be sure the sound was decent for that part of the song. Why would he need to pretend that he was adjusting it? Overplaying? No. Sure, Bernard was terrific and it's sad he's no longer with us. But this guy doesn't bring any shame to the Chic bottom end.

the bassplayer is a nightmare - you wouldn't catch Bernard Edwards 'pretending' to adjust his amp mid-performance and his tasteless overplaying offends. Edwards would be spinning in his grave :(
