Lani Hall sings Era Uma Vez Um Caso, composed by Edu Lobo / Cacaso. From her long out-of-print LP album A Brazileira, released in 1981 on A&M exclusively for the Brazilian market and never released on CD format. All tracks on this album are Brazilian songs and Lani Hall is equally at easy whether singing in English or in Portuguese. Album produced by Aloysio de Oliveira and co-produced by Lani Hall. Arrangements by Oscar Castro Neves. As is widely known, before pursuing a solo career, Lani Hall was lead singer with Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66 group from 1966 to 1971 and most of the pictures shown on this video clip are from this period of her career. LANI HALL AT HER BEST!

@Bryan Duncan, this sounds to me as a big offense to Lani Hall. For analogy purposes only, you are trying to compare a VW Beetle (Daniela) with a Rolls-Royce (Lani). These are incomparable things. Further, Daniela is a moral indecent person, and Lani is a classy woman. 10 years ago

Gorgeous! Thnx for posting this great song. Do you have Come Down in Time by Lani? There's a version of it on youtube, but it's not the right one. Not sure what album it was on. The one I heard show'd the cover from Sundown Lady, but not sure if it came off a different album. The song is in my memory, but I can't explain it any better. Só para comparar, dá uma olhada no vídeo "Diana Krall - Este Seu Olhar" e ouça a badalada cantora de jazz canadense (de quem eu também gosto muito, mas cantando em inglês) tentando cantar em português, e voce ira admirar ainda mais Lani.13 years ago

Are you suggesting in your comment you saw her perform back in Chicago before her career with 66? Amazing if so and I would love to hear more about that.
