This song is hypnotising, I have replayed this several times now and I can't click away. It's so beautiful. It feel as though lana has cast a spell on me and I can't stop, I close my eyes and imagine two young children walking through a field together, up to their hips in Daisies and grass, then it fades into darkness and they're dancing together in an empty ball room and above them are cobwebs and broken glass windows and at the end, the tape burns and the screen in my mind tears apart

Even if I was wrong about the ending, I could have come up with a better ending than what we got.It's not that I don't like happy endings but I hate endings where there is no form of consequence or it seems off. I like the idea that this is all in Maleficent perspective and the fact that she is bonding with aurora, that for me is an already interesting twist. For a dark and mature ending, I could have made it similar to the original sleeping beauty film. The prince is hired or volunteered for the king to kill her and succeeds with the pixies, as the prince goes back to Aurora, he attempts to kiss her to wake her up but fails and leaves, then a dying Maleficent goes through the window and kisses Aurora, bidding her goodbye and dies and fades to dust and Aurora wakes up never knowing the truth.For something lighter, it could follow the ending we got in this film except the King wouldn't be an asshole. The king and his men find Maleficent and find out she saved his daughter's life.Maleficent would willingly surrender and be imprisoned as she realized that vengeance only begets more vengeance. The king then makes up his decision to call off the war and forgive Maleficent just as Maleficent would eventually forgive himAt-least that's how I would make a btter ending
