I've heard Laila Bialia perform Stolen Land live many times, in many venues. People who haven't heard her before always wonder what's coming when the song starts. When it ends, the reaction is always the same from the audience around me: Spontaneous loud applause, then people saying, "Wow, that was amazing!" "What was that song?" "Which album is that on? I've got to buy it!"

Fantastic performance, filled with passion, of this iconic Bruce Cockburn song. The strong creative partnership of Laila Biali on piano & voice, George Koller on bass, and Larnell Lewis on drums is always so powerful on this number; the added contributions of Ben Wittman on percussion and Phil Dwyer on sax made this special anniversary concert magic for all of us lucky enough to attend in person.
