This is an audition video!
There is no official audition going on but I want to give it a shot just in case the band is searching for a new drummer. I have always liked this band and their music.
They influenced me quite a lot in my early years of drumming.
We used no triggering or drum replacements on this recording.All natural sound! Drums were recorded in Vienna AUSTRIA by my friend Norbert Leitner.
I have to say it wasn't as easy as i thought. This album was recorded without a click track which means you have to really feel this song to play through.

Almost all of the Slipknot covers by younger people I've seen had the same problems. I would give advice hoping my criticism would possibly help them out. Almost always the advice was - MURDER THAT KIT! Hit harder! Play with a sense of aggression! Feel the music in your sweat and bones! Listen to the other instruments more and think about how you best fit into the music, use dynamics, etc, etc. Study KRIHM! Notice how it sounds like one unit and that his drumming sounds aggressive like the song...I can't stress the importance of using dynamics, being able to play fast without sacrificing your attack or volume and having a feel for accents and syncopation. Young drummers - keep practicing music, hone your craft, and your chops will become almost an instinct.A great drummer can make a cheap kit sound great but if you play like a robot with no emotion the best kit in the world will sound like crap.8 years ago
