Keith Urban, a country music underdog from the start, broke country music's unwritten "Americans only" rule by becoming one of the biggest non-American stars to break through in the United States, producing 11 Number One hits like " But For The Grace of God," "Somebody Like You," "Sweet Thing," "Days Go By" and "Only You Can Love Me This Way."

Yes, the flood in Nashville was terrible. What is more terrible is the lack of press and National media that covered it. No federal money, no external help of any kind. The musicians and the people of Tennessee particularly Nashville took care of it themselves. Something you don't see much of anymore.

@evandavis the holy grail of guitars is whatever you want it to be. Just because a 59 lp burts goes for stupid money doesn't mean its the best guitar in the world! The ONLY reason 59 bursts go for so much is because they weren't that popular at the time so gibson only produced around 1800 or so but only about 800/900 are accounted for to date! Personally my holy grail guitar would be a 52/54 Tele!

The "drowning" he's referring to the Nashville flood of 2010. It was a 1000 year flood. Tons of musicians who warehoused their vintage instruments in Nashville, while they were on the road, lost tons of gear. The Grand Ole Opry, Opry Mills Mall, LP Field, and The Bridgestone Arena were all flooded. 21 people lost their lives and clean up still continues to this day.Devastating.

Urban is actually a New Zealander...although it wasn't long after he was born that he moved to Australia.

Wow from many of the comments here, you can tell much of the press did a BAD job in reporting the huge flood in Nashville in May 2010! Most of the city was under water....seriously bad flooding. On another note.....little music reference there....I love his accent! Sometimes it seems stronger than others. I am guessing it is stronger when he has just recently been to Australia. That is pretty typical. What an enormous talent he is! I get to see him in concert for the first time this July!

@sebsoriano19 The flood that hit Nashville caused a huge amount of water damage to a well-known storage/rehearsal facility. Plenty of artists lost a lot of gear :( Keith and Brad Paisley come to mind.

@Chadlynx Soundcheck- where Keith's equipment was stored while not on tour was badly flooded during the May flood in Nashville. This is what he is referring to.
