not really melodic death... but not really melodic black. I think a new genre label should be created to describe all these Finnish Metal bands (CoB, Kalmah, Norther, Wintersun, Eternal Tears of Sorrow...) They all have (or have had) Black Metal influences, strong Power Metal influences (see the melodies), Black and Death metal vocals, some riffs are quite Thrashy or Heavy... it's really hard to classify these bands. One common trait : they're kickass !
