Joss Stone pretty much sums up what a lot of young people are feeling when looking at their governments right now. (Especially in the United States where citizens are feeling this way about congress these days...irregardless of what side of the aisle...)

At the U.N.'s NEXUS Youth Summit a baby boomer bemoaned that after interviewing random 20-40yr olds, he'd found it bittersweet that while all were eager & immensely dedicated to make a positive change, & deeply involved in doing so via for-profits, investments, philanthropy, activism,etc....next to no one had any confidence in politics as being a way to do so w/out significantly sacrificing morals/ethics. I told him he shouldn't be surprised:in fact there was a song on the subject....this one!

i read the lyrics to this song and i hate it. love you joss but hate the song. it is totally out of place on the album. would have been better on a concept album. i wonder if she has ever visited the british veterans of the war in which she speaks, then maybe you could write a better " protest song" than this one
