This has unequivocally been my favorite rendition of this song. It has so much more warmth and optimism behind it than his other renditions.

@PGAUSJ Yes it does! I just graduated from high school and in my AP Eng Lit class this year I was assigned to analyze three Robert Frost poems.. Fire & Ice, Nothing Gold Can Stay (my personal favorite), and Once By The Pacific and I did a comparison between this song and those poems. I realized the connection while I was listening to this song while working on my project.. And wow, all of a sudden I realized the absolute brilliance and similarities behind these beautiful pieces of work. It was amazing and just pure coincidence as I had not listened to this song in months and happened to fall upon it again while working on this project.. Pure brilliance! What a beautiful, imaginative place this world is!

Josh, you are truly amazing. Every video I find of you talking or singing liberates my mind. Very few artists have the ability to do that to me. This song never gets old, never fails to beautify the world around me at the present moment.

This song reminds me of this Frost poem. Both Frost and Ritter seem to have the same idea. Nothing Gold Can Stay Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.
