B-side of "There Goes My Heart". "There Goes My Heart' charted at #19 on the Hot 100 in September 1958 and is posted on my "TheLimePopsicle" channel. "Funny" was written by Jacobson and Roberts.

Too bad this was a B-side I think it was strong enough to be an A-Side.

I had this single when I was only 6 years old in 1958. I played it all the time. "There Goes My Heart" is fairly common but this song is rare. Thanks for posting it!

Recorded along with "There Goes My Heart" plus two fabulous Joni James singles which never have been released (a crime). This side shows how she could take an unremarkable song and make it truly remarkable. She basically produced her own records and at the session told Tony Acquaviva, who was brilliantly conducting, to keep the tempo moving and that she was going to end the song on the last note straight and not ad lib it.

@musicmandon1 Joni sounds like Joni, she never imitated anybody. Just like Connie sounds only like Connie. Both singers with their own unique sound.

I wonder if she was trying to sound like Connie Francis. Nobody could, not ever.
