I love this song.. he takes something painful and makes it funny! From the back door of your life, you swept me out dearIn the bread line of your dreams, I lost my placeAt the table of your love, I got the brush offAt the Indianapolis of your heart, I lost the raceI’ve been washed down the sink of your conscienceIn the theater of your love, I lost my partAnd now you say, "You’ve got me out of your conscience"I’ve been flushed from the bathroom of your heartIn the garbage disposal of you dreams, I’ve been ground up dearOn the river of your plans, I’m up the creekUp the elevator of your future, I’ve been shaftedOn the calendar of your events, I’m last weekI’ve been washed down the sink of your conscienceIn the theater of your love, I lost my partAnd now you say, "You’ve got me out of your conscience"I’ve been flushed from the bathroom of your heart

Yeah, in our relationship-thingie, I was kind of stuck in the toilet bowl, and never really got out.... But now I'm running free with the rest of the sewage. :) - steven

Thank you so much for posting this! My parents introduced me to Johnny Cash and this album when I was a kid. I loved it. I haven't heard it since. Both my parent's are now gone and so is he. I love his music, an icon is so missed. This song brings back childhood times with parents and a great artist that will always be missed. Thanks again.

Great lyrics, great rendition, great concert! I borrowed a cassette with this concert from a pal at school when I was 13, I'm now 50 and still a fan of old JC

Johnny Cash is the greatest artist in this world. He has changed the world completely! I love his music, his personality (even I know all the bad things that had happened in his life)I love his faith to God and the love for his woman, June Carter Cash. They are the two people that I really look up to. Their music is fantastisc, funny, sad, beautiful, loving and so on!<3 I will NEVER stop beeing a J.C & J.C.C fan. That's a promise :D R.I.P <3From a Norwegan 15 years old girl.
