From the Dave Letterman show - the DL band and Sonny Landreth on slide. Funny how you can tell that the musicians actually enjoy themself.

Holy crap. They're so good live. I was expecting this to sound like any TV show performance, but wow, it really sounds just like the studio version. His voice, especially.

I think Paul is playing a banjo part on keyboard.

Sorry.... Slide does not fit. Too much shit. A beautiful simple song about his rebirth run into the ground with over zealous production.

Letterman for years has gotten away with unintelligible shit he apparently feels are witty zingers like,...." it'll be nice for the kids one day"...other than that, this is a great live performance by John Hiatt and Sonny.

Leave it to Paul Shaffer with that fake banjo to drown out Sonny Landreth and the guitar hook in this song! What a shame!

I got to see the tour for this album. Seen him with Sonny a couple of times in later years as well. Love Sonny but the laid back solo he does with Hiatt of "Feels Like Rain" off of this same album is one of my favorites.
