Jimmi Hood's worldwide debut single "Rock-A-Bye, Baby (The Blues Rock Anthem)" is a high-energy, guitar-drenched celebration of American rock and roll that fuses elements of blues, rock, r&b and gospel in a high-octane rock song that keeps it masterfully real. Written, arranged and performed by Hood, this Saturday night feel good anthem produced by Hood and long-time co-producer Peter Rugile features Jimmi's songwriting, his whisky vocal, his infectious "Hey, hey..." chant and his incendiary guitar work characterized by sexy hanging notes with tickle-the-babes after-notes that are likely to have women the world over dancing a "Hallelujah" bump and grind on top of nightclub bars.

An authentic rock and roll musician, Hood is a NEW artist from the revered classic rock era and represents an unprecedented phenomenon for rock music fans, particularly those who feel they were born too late and missed the golden age of rock. Inspired by a Billboard article entitled "30+, Music For Grown-Ups, 80 Million Customers With No Place To Go", Hood developed the concept, artist's company and adult-oriented brand of Uber-Rock. Believing the "R"s in American Rock and Roll stand for "Revolution and Rebellion" Hood is defying last century's youth-oriented model, raising the bar, addressing the long-neglected adult market and intent on restoring the cultural relevance of rock on a global basis with the Uber-Rock Records release of his auspicious debut single. If you've never experienced the thrill of a game-changing rock artist, now's your chance to get onboard, become part of history and witness the birth of Jimmi Hood's Uber-Rock: Classic Rock for the 21st Century.

Heads up MusiTeck: Is Hood playing slide guitar? Jimmi's tone on the second guitar solo is slurred and the string vibrato at times is consistent with the side to side motion of a slide bar. Then again Hood may be picking with his fingers a al Jeff Beck which would also produce a softer slurred tone... so it's difficult to tell for sure.

Okay guys. I get it... Now that we're talking the Tom Cruise / Risky Business scene I guess the premise for Hood's video is pretty innocent. I'm just saying the gospel feel of Jimmi's Rock-A-Bye is real and reminds me of singing with the choir at church where we 'do' wear long flowing robes. That's all...

I agree. The video dancer dances as if no one is watching... This is cute. This is clever. This is fun. This is what makes you want to dance along with her to Jimmi's Rock-A-Bye song -- which I often do!!!

Seriously, when I first saw this Jimmi Hood video I immediately thought of that famous scene in the movie Risky Business where a young Tom Cruise slides into the hallway wearing nothing but a shirt, white socks, white bvd undies and dances his heart out to Bob Seger's song Old Time Rock and Roll. Innocently fun just like this...

Ever hear that inspirational saying 'Dance as if no one is watching'? That's what Hood's video babe is doing. She's reliving Jimmi's concert while listening to Rock-A-Bye. Who   among us hasn't danced around our bedroom in our underwear to our favorite song? It's a joy and a hoot to watch someone doing this...

For the harried married over-extended weekend guitarists of the world, Jimmi Hood's Rock-A-Bye video is the music equivalent of the Sports Illustrated 'Swimsuit Edition'. It's an oh-so-pleasant blues rock viewing experience we can jam along to at home and savor the way life used to be... back in the day:-)
