In Trutina, is a delightful aria from part III of Carmina Burana, "The court of love" by Carl Orff.

The work is based on a book of 13th century poems, discovered in 1803, at the Benedictine abbey of Benediktbeuern, south of Munich in the Bavarian region. It contains some 250 poems, mostly in Latin,

and the manuscript is perhaps the most important source for Latin secular poetry, dating from this period. The original latin text is shown, along with a full English translation. This performance was recorded in 1984, by the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and Choir, conducted by Riccardo Chailly, with Sylvia Greenberg, soprano. It is in my opinion the finest rendition of this most divine work. Enjoy!

Una dolcissima aria tratta dai Carmina Burana di *Carl Orff* poco conosciuta come il resto dell'opera, di cui si ascolta solitamente la più famosa "O Fortuna"."In Trutina" dalla parte III. Cour d'Amours.

Outstanding. I agree on this being my favourite rendition of this beautiful piece, in no other recording have I heard the artist display such pureness and passion in her voice. I get goosebumps every single time I listen to it.

I've sung Carmina Burana more times than I care to remember, but every time I've done it, this movement always makes me melt.

After comparing a few (not nearly all) recordings, this is by far my favorite rendition. An opinion, not a scoff at others.

I grew up in a Catholic family, went to Catholic school and mass in Latin every day. The nuns were so strict, we had to learn mass in the Latin, which has helped me greatly when I have to take tests. Anyway, Thank you for this, it is so beautiful.

Listened to this about 30 times so far. The voluptuous images set it off perfectly, too.

I'm done. All the romantic notions I had as a young man come back to me listening to this; it breaks the heart.
